 故事背景设定在16世纪的英国，海盗首领莫根船长（拉尔德·克雷加 Laird Cregar 饰）受到国王查理的特赦，并被任命为牙买加总督。一位年轻而勇敢、机智而英俊的年轻人沃林（泰隆·鲍华 Tyrone Power 饰）决定跟随莫根船长前往牙买加。然而，莫根过去的下属、狡猾而残忍的里奇船长（乔治·桑德斯 George Sanders 饰）却拒绝接受莫根的领导，继续在海上进行抢劫商船的行为。为了消灭海盗，沃林率领船队出海，在航行途中偶然与里奇的“黑天鹅号”，并和其他两艘船发生了遭遇战。面临险境，沃林不得不机智地假装前来投降并投靠里奇。通过巧妙周旋和激烈战斗，里奇最终受到了惩罚，他的“黑天鹅号”彻底被摧毁。与此同时，贵族小姐玛格丽特（玛琳·奥哈拉 Maureen O'Hara 饰）对沃林从厌恶逐渐转变为敬佩，最终产生了爱慕之情，展开了一场曲折而离奇的爱情故事。

 What begins as a peaceful venture into civilian life for a pair of military vets, quickly devolves into chaos when a nuclear crisis brings danger to their doorstep, igniting an unexpected alliance with a potential enemy, as they struggle to protect their team and overcome the shadows of their past in a lawless new world.

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.  持续在世界各地进行修业之旅的小智（松本梨香 配音）、小刚（うえだゆうじ 配音）和小光（豊口めぐみ 配音），历经长途跋涉终于来到了位于山谷丘陵处的目的地阿拉莫斯镇。小镇上耸立着象征时间与空间的时光之塔，新一轮的神奇宝贝竞赛将在塔的下方举行。小智一行走错了路，却由此结识当地的美丽女孩艾丽丝（加藤ローサ 配音）。紧张的战斗与快乐的游玩，却未察觉危险正悄悄逼进。小智遭到噩梦精灵达库莱伊的袭击，虽然达库莱伊被当地所有人讨厌，但是它似乎想将某种危险、恐怖的信息及时传给小智一行，关于时空之塔的秘密即将揭开…… 本片为神奇宝贝系列第十部电影剧场版。
